Whilst our two rosette chef, and patron James Coward ensures your food is always delicious. James' wife and co-patron Kate Coward ensures your experience is a pleasant and memorable one, together they are a tour de force, delivering the finest food with first class service.
At Les Bouviers we can cater for almost any event, from a wedding, including ceremony, in our elegantly presented function room, with its own fully stocked bar, and private restrooms, to a romantic evening for two, cream tea with friends, or a fine dining experience.
All of this is offered overlooking our 5 ½ acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. All our grounds are fully licensed for civil ceremonies, and we are able to cater for all of your needs.
Overnight guests are welcome, in one of our 6, bedroom suites, ranging from the luxury Bellet suite, to our standard but still stunning Nixon, and Krasnyansky suite.
"Stayed at Les Bouviers for three nights while we visited The Great Dorset Steam Fair. We had been advised that the owner/chef and his family would be on their own holiday and that only a restricted menu would be available. This caused no problem at all as the reduced menu had plenty to choose from and our meal was superb in every way - congratulations to whoever stood in for the chef. The wine list is the size of War and Peace and contains some spectacular wines. Service from every member of the staff was impeccable. We had the full English breakfast on one morning and had to go without lunch as it was so large. Our room was spotless and beautifully presented with a very comfortable bed. We shall use Les Bouviers every year for the steam festival."

"We come to this family-run restaurant once or twice a year for a special romantic evening meal, and we're never disappointed in the food, service, or homey atmosphere. I usually order one of the fish dishes which they fillet next to our table. The crepes suzette is also quite a show. Apart from the delicious food (including the cheese soufflé starter), the wine list and relaxed and friendly service always entice is back. Be prepared for a three hour evening ending in smiles and full tummies."
